A Better Season
Life is going better for me. I'm happy. I'm hopeful. I'm excited for what's to come in 2017. I came a long way this year. I thought I wouldn't survive this year because the beginning started off so rough. God had to pluck things out of my life that didn't need to be there, and it was painful, but now I feel that He is planting new seeds that are growing, and I am happier for it. I have a good Christian community around me. I'm more involved at church. I'm moving in the right direction. I'm EXERCISING (what?!). I'm taking better care of my body. I'm reading His Word and fighting the spiritual battles with the right armor. I'm waiting on God for answered prayers instead of taking things into my own hands. I'm sitting still (for once), but I'm also working diligently towards my purpose. I'm allowing God to grow me.
It's been a good last half of the year. I'm making big plans and planting seeds for next year. I think 2017 will be one of big, good changes. Stepping out of my comfort zone. Moving into my calling. Working harder and more diligently. Becoming who I am meant to be. A much, MUCH better year.
I do have my moments when I miss certain people, but I don't dwell on it too much. I give it to God and pray about it.
I've been re-reading Ben Franklin's autobiography, and I feel so inspired by him because he is a true American, rags-to-riches story. Somebody who worked hard to get where he got. He wasn't lazy, he didn't waste time. He was productive and used his life to help our country become what it is today. I want to use my life for the greater good.
I am trying to spend less time on social media and be more diligent with my time. At home, I am getting better about using my time to research the music industry, write more songs, write more stories. Being productive. Social media is getting old to me, especially Facebook. I start scrolling and scrolling and don't even realize it. It's too easy! So I'm trying my best to not even get on the blasted thing. It's still very hard, but I'm getting better about it.
I want to be more present with people. Put down the phone.
Well I was just in a good mood and wanted to post while I was happy so you wouldn't think I'm always depressed. So here you go, my happy post! Have a good day now. Stay tuned for what's to come.
